One of the best feelings in the world for a Jewish parent is experiencing Nachas, which I define as pride in children as they build new links in the chain of Jewish continuity.  Thanks to you and your staff, you have created a beautiful environment of Yehadut and Tzionut that facilitates our children’s growth in our community.

Great Counselors https://moshava.org/testimonials/great-counselors/ Wed, 21 Feb 2024 20:53:26 +0000 https://52.4.7.240/?post_type=cpt_testimonials&p=18232

I wanted to thank you for creating such a warm and wonderful camp environment. My daughter, Emily Silverstein (G11), came home so happy today and so excited to return next summer. If her counselors are still in camp, please send them our heartfelt thanks for all of their hard work and dedication to making the camp experience so wonderful for Emily.

Tzevet Hadrachah https://moshava.org/testimonials/tzevet-hadrachah/ Wed, 21 Feb 2024 20:52:26 +0000 https://52.4.7.240/?post_type=cpt_testimonials&p=18231

I sit here on the bus home, and yet again, I find myself crying. For the past two years I have been a part of Tzevet Hadrachah, and both times I have left camp in tears. I’m not gonna pretend that being a counselor is easy, or that my campers were perfect and never had problems because anyone who works in a camp knows that that is just not true. However, no matter how hard it gets it is probably one of the best things I will ever get to do. There is no feeling like making your camper smile. There is no feeling like getting the chance to teach your campers Torah. There is no feeling like being a דוגמה אישית. There is no feeling like helping your campers grow every day, and creating a positive atmosphere. When people ask me what it’s like to be a counselor I say that every day I go to bed exhausted, but it’s the best exhaustion in the world. Its the exhaustion of knowing that you have positively impacted someone’s day. I wanted to thank all of you for this opportunity. Bezrat Hashem I hope to see you all next year,

My daughter Tikva had a wonderful time at camp! The terrific activities, trips, spirit and even shiurim were very much enjoyed. The camps professionalism, care and concern for the children and communication with the parents were truly felt especially for us so far away in Israel

I have been thinking of camp so often, and feeling so connected to my experiences there and the proud Zionism it instilled in me from such a young age. I am so grateful to have had the Moshava experience, and it is fortifying me right now. Even just listening to songs I remember from camp brings me comfort. Thank you for the Israel education I received, and the love of Israel I will always carry with me. I am now a mom of 2 boys, Aaron (4) and Elan (almost 2), and I hope to pass it all on to them!

In Love With Moshava https://moshava.org/testimonials/in-love-with-moshava/ Wed, 21 Feb 2024 20:47:00 +0000 https://52.4.7.240/?post_type=cpt_testimonials&p=18227

When I got off the Kaytana bus in 2013, I instantly fell in love with Moshava. From the bottom of my heart, thank you guys so much for making moshava my home. Moshava has provided me with a love for israel, am yisrael, bnei Akiva, and my shevet Sinai family. You guys have given me the most amazing shevet that I have become so close with over the past 7 summers. From eidah hey to the shevet naming shabbaton, my camp friends have become my best friends. Most eidot only truly become a shevet in machal, but shevet Sinai was a family from the very beginning. Though there are not enough words to express how much I’ll miss running into Mifkad with my shevet, storming the chadar ochel on Shabbos afternoon, the most meaningful tishabeav in the world, and all the amazing trips, I am also beyond exited to IYH continue my moshava journey after Mach Hach B’eretz as tzevet and mishpachot.
I know how hard it is for me and my whole shevet and I can only imagine how hard it must be for you and all of the tzevet who work so hard all year to make our summers so incredible. Thank you for everything that you do. I hope you and your families are all well. Hope you have a great summer and can’t wait to see you back on Navajo Road soon!!

Moshava Family https://moshava.org/testimonials/moshava-family/ Wed, 21 Feb 2024 20:46:03 +0000 https://52.4.7.240/?post_type=cpt_testimonials&p=18226

Moshava is not just a camp, it’s a place where kids and teens, the future leaders of our Jewish communities, learn so much about who they are as Jews, what it means to be Jewish and how important Medinat Yisrael is. It’s an extremely important experience for anyone who attends, in having an unforgettable summer, creating strong long lasting friendships in the very warm social environment, and attaining/strengthening a very important Religious Zionist education – all both for the Chanichim as well as all staff. As Madrich, I can safely say that I left Machane Moshava at the end of summer having unexpectedly gained so much knowledge and pride for who I am as a religious Jew, and a Zionist. Moshava has done and given so much for the community, and now it’s our turn to help Moshava continue its strong mission, it’s so important. Thank you camp Moshava for everything you have given, and will Iy”H continue to give to the Moshava family!
