Campers Completing 3rd – 9th Grade
The main camp consists of five Eidot (divisions). Eidah Hey is for children who have finished 3rd or 4th grade, Eidah Aleph is for children who have finished 5th grade and Eidah Bet is for children who have finished 6th grade. Eidot Gimmel and Daled are for children who have finished 7th and 8th grade respectively. This Summer we’ve added a 6 week option and a 2 week option (second session only) for children finishing grades 3-6. Either option can be extended if the camper wishes to finish out second session.
Each Eidah has its own special flavor and program. All Eidot have daily Sheurim and swim and are involved in the educational theme of the month. In addition, there are sports, arts and crafts, lake activities, music, teva (nature shack), maabada (science lab), dance, nagarut (wood crafting), night activities and much more.
The older Eidot also have ropes, high ropes, biking and chuggim. Chuggim is specialty activities chosen by the camper. Chuggim varies from intramural team sports and specialty crafts to drama, beit midrash and zumba.
In addition, each Eidah has its own “Shmutz” or Machaneh Chutz (overnight). Different Eidot has different shmutz locations and the amount of time spent on the shmutz varies from Eidah to Eidah.
At Moshava we try to give every camper the individual attention that he or she deserves. Every bunk has three counselors and each Eidah has a male and female Rosh Eidah (division head), a camp parent and a Sgan Rosh Moshava who is responsible for the Eidah.
Campers Completing 9th Grade
Machal is our oldest camper division and is for campers who have completed 9th grade. Machal has its own campus, a five-minute walk from the main camp. Machal facilities include the Machal Beit Midrash, dining room, hockey and basketball courts.
Machal has a trip based program and the Eidah is out of camp on trips three to four days a week. The trips include hikes, biking, white water rafting, orienteering and a special trip to either Boston or Toronto.
Machal also has its own unique education program relating to the monthly theme but also focusing on leadership and issues that are important to a high school student.
Please note: There is an additional $515 fee per session for each Machal camper.
Campers Completing 2nd – 3rd Grade
Moshava will be continuing its very successful nine day program for campers who will be finishing 2nd grade, or 3rd grade in June 2021.
Our Kaytana program is specially designed as an introductory overnight camp program for children of these ages. Children will become comfortable in the camp environment while learning to deal with the separation issues and the issues of living in a group situation. They will, therefore, be more prepared for the full Moshava experience in the future.
The Moshava Kaytana will still feature all of the unique activities, programs and the special Religious, Zionist atmosphere that makes Moshava unique.
Transportation to and from the NY area is included. We will also provide transportation from the Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Silver Spring areas.
Campers Completing 2nd, 3rd or 4th Grades
After many requests over the years, Moshava has decided to open a special 4 day, 3-night program for campers who will be finishing 2nd grade, 3rd grade, or 4th grade in June 2019.
Our Mini-Mosh program is specially designed as an introductory overnight camp program for children of these ages. Children will become comfortable in the camp environment while learning to deal with the separation issues and the issues of living in a group situation. They will then be more prepared for the full Moshava experience in the future. The Moshava Mini-Mosh will still feature all of the unique activities, programs and the special Religious, Zionist atmosphere that makes Moshava unique.
