Today in camp was Yom Dmuyot. The chanichim learned about different important figures in modern Israeli history. Today at lunch, we remembered David “Dugo” Leitner who passed away last week. Dugo was a Holocaust survivor who never gave up hope. Each year on the anniversary of the Death March, he would eat falafel to celebrate his victory over the Nazis. The State of Israel joined Dugo and every year on January 18th, Israelis eat falafel with him as a sign of hope and freedom. As Dugo would say, “Am Yisrael Chai V’Mapsut V’Ochel Falafel”.
Moshava will be continuing its very successful Kaytana program which will NOW BE A FULL 2 WEEKS and is for campers who will be completing Grades 3 or 4. Our Kaytana program is specially designed as an introductory overnight camp program for children of these ages. Children will become comfortable in the camp environment while learning to deal with the separation issues and the issues of living in a group situation. They will, therefore, be more prepared for the full Moshava experience in the future.
The main camp consists of five Eidot (divisions). 
Our Mini-Mosh program is specially designed as an introductory 4 day, 3-night program for campers who will be completing 2nd or 3rd grades in June 2024. Children will become comfortable in the camp environment while learning to deal with the separation issues and the issues of living in a group situation. They will then be more prepared for the full Moshava experience in the future. The Moshava Mini-Mosh will still feature all of the unique activities, programs and the special Religious, Zionist atmosphere that makes Moshava unique.
