On Yom Safa Ha’Ivrit, the chanichim learned about Rishon Le’Tzion,Ā the first place where the Israeli flag was raised, the home to the first modern Hebrew school and the first place that Hatikva was sung. They also learned about the challenge and success of finding water in Rishon Le’tzionĀ and how they were then able to grow oranges there.
The chanichimĀ celebrated Rishon Le’tzionĀ by building orange towers, learned about Eliezer Ben Yehuda by playing basketball with giant inflatableĀ hoops, dividing old and new Hebrew words, and celebrated the successful search for water with aĀ dunkĀ tank!
